KITCHEN PORTER/DRIVER
- AM/PM Shift Pattern
- 5 days with some Saturday work required on a rota basis

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- To ensure all paperwork is completed in according with Food Safety, Health and Safety and Department Policies and Procedures.
- You will be required to drive the Department's vehicle to make daily deliveries to boarding houses, func-on areas and other such places as required.
- To assist the Head Chef and Storeman in stock-taking, monitoring stock levels and ordering.
- To make up shopping baskets of commodi-es to deliver out or to be collected.
- To keep the stores and ancillary areas in a clean, organised and dry manner.
- Monitoring wastage and out of dates.
- Ensuring that the food is delivered to the standard expected.
- Ensuring that you have a very high standard of communication with the Executive Head Chef, Head Chef.
- To keep accurate records of goods being delivered outside of the department in order for recharging to take place and accounts made up.
- To assist in other areas of the department as required by any member of the Management Team.
- To ensure compliance with the company’s policy on safer recruitment and safeguarding children and young adults at all times whilst at work.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Ideally have experience working within Education catering
- Have good Health & Safety knowledge
- Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused
- Fun and enthusiastic
- Have excellent organization skills
- Demonstrate great attention to detail
- Be a team player, and enjoy succeeding as a team
- Possess great customer service skills
- Have a flexible approach to work
